IMPORTANT MUST READ NOTES:

• R.E.I.NZ. and I.P.M.A  members will receive a 20% discount off the Annual Membership Fee. Make sure you enter your membership number in the relevant field upon registration.
• It is your choice as to what membership level you choose. The suggested number of checks per level is only a guide to help you choose which level will be most cost-effective to your business.
• Lodgement credits will only be put to outstanding balances, or held as a credit against future checking costs. They will not be paid out. It should be noted that we do spot checks to confirm validity of lodgements in accordance with our responsibilities to the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004.

Invoicing & Payments:

• PAYMENT OF MEMBERSHIP FEE MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE A NEW ACCOUNT IS ACTIVATED.
• The system will automatically issue an invoice to you by email after you complete and submit the registration page
• Any invoices that are sent to you will have a link for you to make an on-line creditcard payment, and supply you with our bank account details if you prefer to pay by direct credit or cheque.
• We automatically receive creditcard payment confirmations from our secure creditcard payment handler (PayPal).

Account Activation Times:

• Online Creditcard payment - account will be activated within 2 business hours.
• Phone Creditcard payment - account will be activated immediately.
• Direct Credit - it may take us one business day to see your payment in our account.
• Cheque - account will not be activated until your cheque clears.  

Searches & Lodgements:

• TINZ, MOJ, CIA, VEDA, DLV Tenant Check - This check will simultaneously search...
  • TINZ tenant ratings,10 Day Notices and Tenancy Tribunal orders from our members,
  • Ministry of Justice Tenancy Tribunal decisions,
  • CIA Debt Recovery Group Ltd which holds tenancy debt collection information
  • VEDA Advantage credit check which will show a prospective tenants general credit history.
  • Drivers License Verification confirms the details a tenant has supplied are correct. It should be pointed out that we can not guarantee that even though you have actually sighted the driver's licence we can vouch for the Land Transport NZ response to such a verification query
• We encourage TINZ members to load Tenancy Tribunal orders on the TINZ database as The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) database, which contains solely tenancy tribunal orders, does not host all Tenancy Tribunal orders. It is at the adjudicators discretion whether or not the order will go online and they will only stay online for 3 years. The MOJ also does not hold mediated orders as the mediations are done in the offices of the Dept of Building & Housing so it imperative that you load ALL orders on the TINZ database. 
• A Alert (Address Alert)  - an added function when you lodge a 10-Day Notice or Tenancy Tribunal Order on T.I.N.Z. You can use this feature to ask the system to automatically email you if your tenant is checked by another member and gives another address of the tenants other than the address you supplied.
  Example 1. It Could be highly "interesting" if you lodge a 10-Day Notice for instance on your tenant for not paying rent, and then the tenant is checked by another member even before they have paid you first. The A Alert system might give you an opportunity to confront them before they perhaps do a "runner" on you.
  Example 2. If you lodge a Tenancy Tribunal Order online and don't know where to serve an order for examination, the A Alert system could provide you with a new address if this tenant is checked by another member.
