Hello Property managers and Landlords

A landlord tip
.
How often should you inspect your rental properties?.. It depends on the tenant. Initially an inspection a month after the tenancy has started is a good idea, and then 3 monthly which can possibly be stretched to 6 monthly if you are comfortable with the tenants. A property inspection should be more than just a property inspection. Ask your tenants some questions... do they have any issues with the property? any taps leaking? any mold issues? anything faulty?.. Often the only way you will find out about things is to ask. You will be surprised with what you can learn by asking the right questions. If you do not have your own 'Property report' form click here  for one that you can use.

A tip while using  www.tinz.net.nz
.
Some of you might have experienced some significant problems on our website a couple of weeks ago when requesting credit checks as well as checks on our system. Credit checks are supplied direct from Veda Advantage's credit reporting system, however, they didn't advise us of a coding change which resulted in some of the checks not being conducted or timing out on your screen. This has been rectified although, at times, you might experience slow downs in performance when requesting credit checks as well as other checks during peak times. We have discussed our concerns with them, as we believe they need to update their infrastructure (computing power) to overcome these slow downs. They say they are monitoring the situation.

A New feature  We are going through a phase of changing over our creditcard transaction provider so you might notice some changes in that regard in the next few days. You can now use Paypal to pay invoices by creditcard. You can search your invoices under the "search" button and pay from there or by a link on your invoice which is emailed to you.

Suggestion Box
.
Many of the improvements we make on the website are directly linked to suggestions from our members. If you think we could do something different or better we would love to hear from you in our Suggestion Box!
