Subscriber Agreement

  1. I state that I have read through and agree to the full subscriber agreement

  2. I know my Tenancy Application must contain a Privacy Statement which covers all clauses from the Privacy Statement on  TINZ recommended Tenancy Application. 

  3. I state that I am a New Zealand citizen, or am permanently resident in New Zealand, or am physically in New Zealand.

  4. I know I must have my own TINZ user account and not use a generic "company/partnership/trust" user account.

  5. I know I must inform the individual of the purposes for which I am collecting the individual's personal information and the purposes for which the information will be used and disclosed to Tenancy Information New Zealand Ltd (TINZ) via the website at www.tinz.nz.

  6. I know I must not disclose information to TINZ without taking such steps as are, in the circumstances, reasonable to ensure that the information is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant, and not misleading.

  7. I know I must, as soon as reasonably practicable, update any credit default information, rating, 14 day notice, or serious credit infringement information previously disclosed to TINZ and ensure that the information remains accurate, up to date, complete, relevant, and not misleading.

  8. I understand I will be asked to nominate the relevant purpose or purposes for which access (i.e. search or lodgement) may be sought, and confirm the relevant purpose at the time of each access.

  9. I know I must co-operate with all reasonable compliance checks conducted by TINZ and, for that purpose, must supply, upon request, evidence to confirm compliance with the Privacy Act 1993 and its amendments and/or evidence to substantiate any credit default information, rating or 14 day notice or other serious credit infringement information disclosed to TINZ by me.

  10. I know I must promptly cooperate with TINZ in its efforts to investigate and resolve complaints and requests for correction of credit information and must, for those purposes, supply, upon request, evidence to confirm compliance with the Privacy Act 1993 and its amendments and/or evidence to substantiate any credit default information or serious credit infringement information disclosed to TINZ by me.

  11. I know I must take appropriate measures to safeguard the information held by TINZ against improper access.

  12. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless T.I.N.Z. and its directors and officers, from any claim, suit, loss, damage or expense incurred by T.I.N.Z. and its directors and officers as a result of any tenant information provided by me, use of tenant information by me, or from my usage of the TINZ website.

  13. I know if I am found breaching the subscriber agreement  I may have my membership suspended.

  14. I agree to pay for the costs in using the T.I.N.Z. system on or before the 20th of the month following invoice.

  15. I acknowledge that any cost incurred in collecting any unpaid invoices issued to me by T.I.N.Z. will be reimbursed by me. These may include collection agency charges and commissions, solicitor costs incurred and any cost that maybe incurred in recovering money from me.
